Smallest house of Amsterdam

Surfing a bit on the web for more information, it seems that it is a cheat and that it is actually much wider behind the front. According to the guide, somebody actually lives inside. I would love to see the interior, as it can't be that big anyway. Must be quite a challenge to furnidge a space like this.
( Hi inhabitant of this house, if, by chance, you should stumble upon this entry, please contact me ;) )

I stumbled on this nice idea to put away pyjamas ( and other things ) from Modern Twist in San Francisco. Unfortunately they seem to sell only in the United States, and not via an online-shop.
I love the clean, japanese-like look as well as the double purpose: storage and decorative pillow.

Amsterdam Architecture: Old and new, perfecly fitted
DPP_0060
Originally uploaded by 36metres-carres.Most old houses in Amsterdam are built very narrow, and as a tour guide told us, this was due to the fact that taxes have been calculated on the basis of how large a house was. Less it was large, less people paid in taxes.
While wandering through the city center, i've passed by these houses. I particular like the way the new house is fitted in. It takes up main characteristics of an old house, like two two entrance doors, which can seen on many of the old houses. It's narrow, as an old house, but the overall style is modern nevertheless but without being shocking.
I appreciate this kind of mixing new with old, it shows a big sensibility of the owner and the architect to preserve the architectural caracteristics of the city.
